Korean Band Performance!

So I totally should be doing homework right now since finals start on Monday, but I wouldn't be able to concentrate so I am doing this.....because!!!! I just got back from my KOREAN BAND PERFORMANCE!!!!! Oh! My! Gosh!!!! It was so so amazing! So fun! I had so much fun!!! We performed at the music and dance festival and we had 5 or 6 different cultures there. Each culture brings their own kind of food, we eat, and then perform. The Korean food was so so good! MMmm! Loved it! When I perform I really feel like I am praising God and thanking Him. We are there rejoicing for our life and the gospel. I love having a group of friends at school. They are such nice people. They love having people join their culture. They ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I have grown to love them so much. I am actually sad that the semester is ending! ya! sad!!! I got my own drum sticks which is so awesome and I got my own uniform. I plan on staying with the Korean Association as long as I go to school up here. I love it. I love the school and the gospel! Here are some pictures and a video or two if you can watch them it is so worth it. I do have to say, that the video is not even close to what it is like live. The sound is so overwhelming. And listening to it just doesn't cut it. Once I got in my uniform one boy told me I looked beautiful. Haha, he made me feel good. They all do. When I started they were all so amazed at how fast I learned. One of the girls' father came up to me afterwards and asked how long I had been playing. I told him a month and a half and he was stunned. They make feel great! I love them and their culture. It's beautiful. Love you all! Talk to you later!

TuRkEy dAy!

oh it was so freakin wonderful to go home! It could have been better if I hadn't had so much homework to worry about, that was a stress, but it was so nice to get to see the family. We had such a good time. I got to get close to Kayla, we ended up having alot of fun. We got to go shopping which was also great, I found me some pants! Woo! And they are Vigoss! Yaaaa! I got to see my friend Bailey who just found out he has cancer while getting his physical for his mission. It was hard for all of us, but we had alot of fun. I look forward to being able to spend 4 months with him. I am hoping it will be a nice break. I only have 3 weeks left of school and that is just full of excitment. I can't hardly wait. I don't want to go back to work really, but I can't imagine not worrying about anything like school! Yeahhhh! Today I just got two Russian Dwarf Hamsters. I'm really excited. Lola and Lota are their names; resembling my favorite cartoon "Charlie and Lola." They are so funny and just go crazy. At first Lola wasn't strong enough to push the ball around and finally she got the hang of it. They are adorable. I'm excited for some company. Haha, I just found out that Bailey is in the hospital for dehydration and low blood count so if everyone could pray for him. Well I don't know that there is anything else knew so I will be gettin to bed. Hopefully we can be gettin some snow soon to help me get in the christmas spirit! Oh! I got a letter from Kev today! He is stayin busy so I don't hear much from him, but he is doing great! Love ya'll and talk to ya lata!

so this was for a class. Humanitites. We thought it was cool. We were assigned a photography project and one was to take a pic of an apple, egg, or shadow. I pictured this as the snow white seen where your like "Don't eat the apple! Its poisonous!" Ya....We thought it turned out pretty cool. The one I turned in was actually just of my lips apple and hand. Looked like a comercial shot saying "Nice, juicy red apples. Try one!" We decided that this shot was too seductive and inviting...which was not intentional. Red will do it to anyone.

so! On Halloween my roomates were begging me to go to the Halloween dance with them. But I stayed strong and didn't go. But I did take a good 2 hour break and we all got dressed up and took some pictures! I dressed up as an 80's chick of course! Kailey, the one to your right, dressed up as a Utah girl and I teased her hair real high and gave her an orange foundation line. And Julie, to your left was I think a Swedish Maid. So here they are. Also, I don't know if any of you have heard of this but there is this funny thing that you try to swallow a tablespoon of cinammon. When the person tries to swallow it they start choking and all you see is this big brown cloud poof out. So I decided to try it. So that was quite the experience. We only did a teaspoon but we decided it was probably a tablespoon. Enjoy!!!!

JuStie*s B~dAy

Well its a little later than I wanted to be posting this but I am finally gettin to it! I have been so completely and absolutely busy! But it is paying off for sure! I got to go down for Justie's baptism! We all had so much fun! It was rainy and we got some fun pictures! I loved it! It was so beautiful to see B-rad baptize Justin. He looked like such a missionary. He is growing up so fast. And I know that he'll be out in the mission field before I can even blink. It is funny because we actually already have plans of what we're gonna do when he graduates. Well....the next time I am home is Thanksgiving Break which will be wonderful. I will be home like the 17th through Thanksgiving Weekend. I am so entirely excited to see everyone! I have some awesome news also!!! There is a program called the "International Learning Program." Some of you might have already heard of it but for those who haven't I will explain. It is a program where they take volunteers (usually college students) to foreign places to teach English. It is only $2000 for 5 months! Every since last semester I had had a feeling to find out more about it. When I moved back up here for the 2nd semester I had a friend who had done it and cried while telling me about it. Again, I felt like I should look into it. I took the brochure that I got in the mail about it home to show my dad and he said OK! I didn't even ask if I could go! I was just showing him! I am so pumped! The places you can go are Ukraine, China, Rushia, and I think Bolivia. You can pick where you would want to go and I want to go to China! They say to apply as soon as you can go. You have to be accepted. They just want to make sure that the right pple get in. I was thinking of going Jan-June 09. I then remembered that that would mean missing Brad's Graduation. I am still rethinking about the when part, but I am just absolutely pumped! A guy in the brochure said that the experience for his daughter was that of a year and a half mission in 5 months! I am so excited! Well homework calls! Love all!

So I got to come home for General Conference and had a ton of fun! My dad got 6 tickets. Well, Brad had a game on Saturday and it was also Homecoming so we had an extra ticket. My Grandpa Phillips was able to come! I think that he really enjoyed it and we all had alot of fun spending time together....which doesn't happen often with that side of the family! We really had fun together! We got to spend the night in a hotel Friday night but as soon as we got there we all crashed. It poured all the down there and then all day Saturday. Because of the snow in Pocky Brad's game was cancelled which stunk, but he was able to have a day date so that was a plus. General Conference is always nice because of our tradition of lots of food! And being on a college fund home food and treats are always so nice to come home to! It was really good and we all had so much fun! Mom waxed my eyebrows and we thought it would be fun to do Brad's. Well we thought it would be even better to do a video! It is so funny! His face at the beginning is priceless! Hope you enjoy!

bAcK 2 sChOoL!

Well everyone in the fam seems to have a blog so I decided that it would be a fun way to stay updated! I am in my 3rd week of school, 2nd semester. I must say that it is SO much better than the 1st! I went easy on myself and am taking generals....much easier classes! I am taking a Modern Dance class and today the teacher told me that she was happy to have me in her class! The girls all told me I had beautiful leaps and I thought I had lost it all! So I felt good! I will be on my off track from Jan-Apr, so that will be a nice break. I plan on working to get back to where I can support myself again! I look forward to being home for a while but not to the fact that I will go back to being the oldest and alone in Preston. Hopefully I can keep busy. Kev left for Korea on Monday Oct. 1! Its crazy that they are sleeping when I am going to school! He is so excited to finally go and spread the word. All of my new roomates and I get along great. Sadly, I am always in my room studying but still find time to have fun here and there. Its crazy to think that I have been on my own for a year in December! Time really flies and I haven't decided if I like it yet. Some ways its great and others....well, not so great....
But all in all its great to be at such a wonderful school....one I never thought of going to! The spirit is felt everyday! Being up here I have grown very close to cousin Heather and Ruth! And I love seeing Grandma so much! I love being close to so much family!!! I am surrounded! :D I got to teach Heather how to make fudge and I loved it! She made it 5 times in one week! And believe it or not....Ruth said NO MORE! I'M ON A DIET! We said be strong and we'll eat! Anyways, work calls! I will upload some more photos lata, so bye!
